Our Methodology list below offers examples of how we work with communities, individuals and partners. As projects develop we try out and test new ways of working which are delievred online, in print and face-to-face.
o First We Eat - inspired by Mary Fisher’s quote ‘First we eat…then everything else’ we hold regular free lunches for new and existing participants to come and ask and answer questions over lunch.
o Point of Entry tutorials - used as project-specific learning tools for schools/community groups and the wider public. Films are short, fun and teach you a new skill.
o Recorded interviews with artists and participants - we record significant conversations happen across projects and make them available for everyone to learn from.
o Creating a project Zine online and in print - designed by artist Amy Mock our Zines document projects, experiences, participant work and commissioned work.
o Projects exploring female identity and perspectives in female only spaces - we specialise in creative experiences for women and those identifying as women. Providng safe spaces for the exploration of female memory, history, identity and narratives.
o Project Blogs written by participants at different stages of a project and published online by QDT and project partners.
o Object based work - we are developing a participatory practice around working with objects as starting points for discussions about home, personal histories, community and change.
