How We Work

Quiet Down There (QDT) is a Community Interest Company that specialises in amplifying the everyday. We believe that culture is everywhere and everyone creates culture in their own way.  We strive to create and support environments where individuals, artists, communities and organisations can articulate and develop their own culture - making the invisible visible.

QDT has three distinct programmes:

Partnership Programme
Open to arts organisations, venues, local authorities and anyone interested in developing their audiences and participatory practice.  We have a suite of methodologies that illustrate the different ways we can work with artists, communities, producers, commissioners and non-arts agencies.

QDT Playground
A delivery programme which comprises of projects we have created, developed and delivered in the communities we live in.

Artist Development Programme
Aims to test and develop new action-research techniques for socially engaged artists and put the results and the learning in one place so it that can be used widely.

Quiet Down There is funded by Arts Council England.
